RiverWoods is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician/Security for the Ridge Campus. Monday - Friday 4:00 pm - 12:00 pm

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing security for the residents, employees, and visitors. The protection of facility building and grounds, including assigned Housekeeping and Maintenance duties.

 

Some key components of the position consist of but are not limited to:

 

  • Inspect facility buildings and premises to prevent fires, theft, vandalism, and intruders; confront unauthorized persons for questioning as needed; report safety and/or fire hazards or security activities
  • Inspect and or service designated equipment such as pumps, motors, air handlers, fire sprinkler system, fire alarm panels
  • Maintain reports and other documents pertinent to maintenance and security activities
  • Maintain and adhere to established facility policies and procedures relative to quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control issues
  • Assist with room set-up and break-down 
  • Replace light bulbs, vacuum, carpet care, empty trash bins, and remove trash from the recycle rooms
  • Perform minor interior and exterior repairs on both a scheduled and on an as-needed basis
  • Assist with vacant apartment preparation and resident move-in, including moving of furniture
  • Provide portage for resident possessions and baggage
  • Assist with snow removal of all regular and emergency exits, walkways and other areas
  • Assist with resident transportation as necessary

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.

Must have the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occassionally, and/or up to 65 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 40 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
